Looking to interview Portland locals who accidentally moved into a haunted house or apartment alone (Documentary project)

Hi everyone,

I am a filmmaker, paranormal enthusiast/investigator, and the creator of a successful paranormal blog. I’m currently developing a new documentary project that focuses on the psychological experience of isolation and the paranormal.

Specifically, I am looking to interview people who moved into a Portland-area house or apartment completely alone, only to realize over time that something was unexplainable or "wrong" with the space.

Because of my background with my blog, I’m not looking for sensationalized ghost-hunting or cheap jump-scares. I am genuinely interested in the human side of the story:

  • The gradual realization that you aren't alone in your own home.
  • The feeling of trying to gaslight or rationalize it to yourself because you're the only one there to witness it.
  • The ultimate breaking point that made you realize you had to leave.

If you have lived through this—or know a friend who had to break a lease or sell a home in the area because of an experience like this—I would love to connect.

We can start with just a casual, off-the-record coffee or phone call to see if you’d be comfortable sharing your story for the documentary or a featured blog piece. I'm happy to privately share my blog and past filmmaking work so you know who you're talking to!

Drop a comment or send me a DM if this hits home for you. Thank you!
