Hi all, I’m in the process of finalising our wedding invites and could use a bit of advice. I’m making them myself using a local printing press, as I’m hand-drawing elements of the design. On our “Finer Details” card (which includes accommodation, dress code, and logistics), I added a short note about gifts, essentially saying their presence is enough, but if they’d like to honour us in another way, there will be a card box at the venue.

I included this because I’ve seen similar wording online, but now I’m second-guessing whether it’s a faux pas and if I should remove it.

Hi all, we’re getting married in the UK in late November. We picked the date for a cosy, Christmassy vibe but it’s made planning a minimoon a bit tricky since we want to go somewhere sunny and warm. We’ve got a week off straight after the wedding and are trying to figure out where to go for 6 or 7 nights. We first thought about Thailand, maybe an island south of Phuket, but we’re a bit unsure about the weather and the long travel time feels like a lot right after the wedding.

We’re usually more travellers than lie-on-a-beach the entire holiday types, but we’ll probably be pretty tired so thinking it might be better to keep things easy. Ideally somewhere with a direct flight from London where we can properly switch off. The Caribbean is now top of the list - any recommendations for a minimoon? Barbados, Antigua, Bahamas? Etc

We’re after sunshine and good diving, which does make this feel more like a full honeymoon, but we are planning a longer trip about a month later over Christmas for 3 weeks, maybe Argentina or possibly Thailand then. Would love any recommendations for a great 6 or 7 night trip that time of year. Very open to ideas, even Europe if there’s somewhere that’s actually good in late November.
