Found in my yard

I just found this in my yard, thought it might be plastic at first but I tested a tiny piece (the black dots) with a lighter & it did not melt or smell like plastic/chemicals, it just turned black and when i gently poked it with the pin the little fragment broke off with nice clean lines. Its hollow as far as i can see, and very light. Its flat on one side like a D & around 1.5" straight across from one end to the other.

On the sloped underside of the flatened tip, there is a subtle variation in the opacity that reminds me of a tooth, where its more translucent-looking at the very edge.

I'm dying to know what this is & who it belongs to! TY in advance for your assistance!

ETA: case closed, its a groundhog incisor!
