Getting your first classroom?
sorry I have a whine a second.
I've been a substitute teacher for two years and just finished my first full year as a credentialed secondary ELA teacher. I have a master's degree. I've had my resume professionally reviewed. I've also had it reviewed by my mentor teacher and two principals. I can't seem to even get an interview.
Is it normal to have to wait years for an ELA position? Is it time to look for a job outside of the classroom?
I like subbing but there is too much competition and I can't get a full week here.
