When should you break attorney-client privilege?

Defense Attorneys,
I know this is a common ethical dilemma in your field, but in the best of your ability how would you go about this attorney-client privilege dilemma?

A client who you’re defending is being sentenced to death row for 1st degree; who you know is not guilty. One of the previous witnesses for this case comes to you after sentencing and tells you (privately) they committed the murder and that the other guy had no involvement at all.

Do you break your attorney-client privilege to exonerate the victim from being wrongfully sentenced to death, do you do nothing, or do you do something in-between?
