I am asking you friendly people how easy/difficult it would be to pivot to a role in a diagnostics lab in Australia at age 40?

I have a PhD and many years experience in university research labs (microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, microscopy, flow cytometry) but the Postdoc research career path is drying up and I am looking for other options with more job security.

Does anyone in Australia have any advice on this transition and what is the degree/certificate that you would recommend?
