Insane Hypocrisy

Idk if people noticed but they released another official statement Thursday night on their blog. I’m just laughing at how much they contradict themselves. In the same post they say

“BAM was unaware of any unauthorized and undisclosed consignment arrangement”

“We acknowledge a Corporate support employee verbally said the new owner would “take all that consignment liability” when store ownership changed hands. The employee wasn’t making any formal agreement or committing the company legally.”

Like what… it’s comically dumb

Not a legal expert, but like even quickly googling “If I own company and a corporate employee enters into agreement with other party am I on the hook” has the only exception being if an employee acted outside their responsibilities but given that this was a corporate employee (likely overseeing the ousting/defaulting of the store) it 100% falls under their valid responsibilities. Like I’m laughing at the fact that their entire argument essentially boils down to the “Well since the CEO didn’t sign its name it’s not real”
