Got diagnosed about 3 weeks ago

basically idek how to start this yk,
about April time I suddenly found the need to urinate multiple times a day I think one time I went 14 times. with that I also had extreme need for thirst didn’t think much of this tbh I thought it was a urine infection. fast forward to the beginning of may I went to the gp to get it checked and my blood sugar was at 29 not sure abt my ketones. So they sent me straight to the hospital was in and out for 2-3 days. finally they told me I have diabetes but they’re not sure which type. they took my blood for testing and it’s been 3 weeks since thye took it and I still haven’t found out. I spoke to my diabetic nurse over the phone and she said it’s most likely t1 and that’s what we’re gonna treat you as until we get ur results, the doctors at the hospital said it’s most likely t1. but idk if it is cuz before my diagnosis I was about 96kg at 5”7 now I’m about 75 so I’m about 4-5 weeks I dropped 20kg. my blood sugar towards the start was from 6-19 but now I’ve been at a good range 85% but I’m getting a few hypos maybe one or 2 every few days. my problem is idk if it’s t1 or t2 ik jt prolly won’t Make much of a difference which type I am but it would be nice to know.
so basically what I’m asking is has anyone else had similar symptoms and what was ur diagnosis
