does anyone live there now? just got approved for a 1bedroom and would love any thoughts because i’ve seen some wonky reviews and posts about it but they were all from over a year or two ago! also would love to connect with anyone there because ill be new to the area!
I’m a 25F moving to the area late july/beginning august for a new job. I’m hoping to buy in the area after living there 1-2 years but first want to find a safe, affordable apartment so I can save money for a home and get to know the area better! I’ll be working in downtown norfolk but don’t necessarily mind a commute. I’ve heard great things about Ghent, West Ghent, and Chelsea though. Mainly looking for a studio/1bed with parking, in-unit laundry, and somewhat updated for no more than $1,600 after utilities. Ideally, it’s an area that has stuff going on but understandable if not possible. Just would like to make friends in the area as well!! I’d also be open to finding a roommate for a year or so but haven’t been successful finding one through facebook groups or through apartments. I’m grateful for any suggestions!!
