Where to find replacement crane escutcheons?
Hey, all,
I live in a very hard water area, and we were having extreme issues with our water flow in our shower. Ended up taking out and replacing the valves, etc. but the parts were so heavily calcified that to replace anything we ended up having to cut off a couple of parts.
The only thing we can’t find is replacement escutcheons. I believe the pipe is 1 1/4 inch on the outside. The escutcheon is threaded to keep flush to the wall and it’s a 1960’s Crane system. I live in Canada but my complete lack of knowledge of terminology is making it very hard to find the same part.
Any idea where to find this part? The part in the first photo, we had to destroy it. It’s the thing that goes on the back of the tap in the second picture (it was fused on).
I know the answer may be that we should replace the entire system, but we are not exactly flesh with cash and want to do this on the relatively cheap.
