I am trying to get a feel for the timeline of my FDC MH/MST claim. It was already being processed at TJ Roanoke before they sent me for a C&P exam. I had that exam last Thursday at an actual VA clinic, not a third party contractor. The examiner was really cool and sympathetic and told me she would submit the DBQ later that same day. She only asked me a handful of questions, and said she had all she needed. She even mentioned why I didn't apply for SSDI years ago. My exam literally lasted less than 15 minutes.

I have diagnoses for these conditions going all the way back to my service records and those diagnoses are listed in my exit physical (DD2808) as well, and I have current diagnoses from VA psychiatrists for the exact same conditions now.

Since this was all handled internally by the VA, does that usually mean the claim moves into the rating phase faster? Could I still be looking at months at this point? It has been 30 days since I filed my claim, and I am still in Step 3.

Thank you for any info.
