META Ray-Ban Displays (HONEST REVIEW)

Context: today is 30 May and I purchased these glasses on 4 May.

By 10 May.. I was contacting Meta tech support to report:

  1. glasses randomly dropping Bluetooth and therefor connect to your phone…

  2. glasses randomly powering off.. even as you wear them.. even at good battery percentage.

2a. in this case, I had to leave the glasses plugged in for TWENTY FOUR HOURS (instructed by Meta) in order for them to reboot.. it literally took that long..

  1. I have a band with mine to operate the screen. this band randomly will not connect to the glasses, so your screen cannot be used at that time.. or you’ll need to physically touch the glasses to fumble into controlling it…

NOW..

Meta as a compaby, from the standpoint of rendering customer/tech support.

  1. there’s no direct phone line of any kind. not to tech support, not to corporate. no number AT ALL in 2026…

  2. tech support (via chat) is obviously trained to give customers the run around.

I’ve had a ticket in to get these glasses replaced since the 10th, right? it’s the 30th and all they have to do is send a return label.. but they haven’t. the have not contacted me a single time. but in contrast, I’ve chatted with them (initiated by myself each time) no less than 10 times. not exaggeratin. why wouldn’t I? these things cost $870

  1. tech support said every time “your matter has been escalated and you will be contacted” and I have not been contacted. then.. they disconnect your chat. no “anything else” or even goodbye. they said “we on it bruh, chill” and disconnect. basically.

so I still have this pair and hay barely works. I’m literally on a walk right now. put them on before I left the house. 10 minutes into my walk, I click my fingers to activate the screen. and you guessed it, the band isn’t connected. and you guessed it. app said “plug them in for 15 minutes and try again” okay cool. let me go back home to do that.. right?

you can expect to slap the glasses and the band on.. and be set. but nah.

expect to put them on.. try to use them. and they aren’t connected. no biggie.. hold the button and reconnect to Bluetooth right? nope. “plug it in for 15 to 24 hours and then try again”

so .. yea
