I’m about to start my fourth semester of nursing school and have been trying to figure out where I want to land after graduation. Psych has been pulling at me for a while now, and I’d love to specialize in it once I have my license. I am expected to graduate in August!

That said, I keep seeing posts about how rough the new grad job market has gotten across the board. Med-surg, ICU, even some specialty units that used to hire new grads are apparently a lot harder to break into than they were a couple of years ago. I’m trying to get a realistic picture before I start tailoring my last year of school around psych.
