Concerns With Major and GPA
I’m an incoming sophomore in the process of intra transferring into the business school at my institution. Ive had an interest in law for a while now but kind of brushed off the idea. After attending a few club meetings and doing more research I realized I like the idea of pursuing law as a career. The problem is I’m realizing how important gpa is and my business school is known for hardly giving out A’s. I’m considering staying with my current major (public relations) and maybe minor in poli sci. I told my parents about my thoughts and they feel as if I would be “taking the easy way out” if I stay with my current major and that it would be more beneficial to have a business background. I’m just worried since it will definitely cause me to graduate with a low gpa, and I’d ideally be aiming for a top law school. Honestly just looking for some clarification on if I’m doing the right thing.
Also for more context my semester where I took PR related classes I had a 3.9 and the semester with business I had a 3.6.
