Ok, so as shown above, I was 6 minutes late to my interview. For reference, it was from 12:30 PM - 12:45 PM but I accidentally thought the start time was for 12:45. So, I show up and check in at 12:36 PM. I’m sitting next to the candidate that is suppose to be at 1:00 PM, after me. Well, 20 minutes pass and no sign of my interviewer. Finally, the worker at the front desk comes up to me and gives me the interviewer’s business card, and states that they said to reschedule an appointment but no other details were given, such as why. I emailed the interviewer for another schedule. But no response yet.

My question is, as a hiring manager, how would you feel about this situation? If a candidate was late. Would you at least tell the candidate right away to leave? I just find it odd how I had to sit there for 20 minutes just to be told I have to reschedule. Only reason I realize I was late, is because right after I walked away I doubled check my interview slot time.

Hopefully I am given another chance. Thoughts?? :/
