I keep seeing the same pattern with AI in Salesforce:

everyone tries to add “agents” or summaries on top, but they don’t actually work the way people expect.

In most orgs I’ve looked at, the problem isn’t the AI itself — it’s that the data is spread across objects, activities, emails, and half-filled fields.

So the AI ends up either:
– summarizing what’s already visible
– missing the actual context
– or producing something that sounds right but isn’t actionable

The few cases that do work are surprisingly simple:
– pulling together full context before a call
– highlighting what changed after an interaction
– surfacing risks / missing info in opportunities

Nothing “autonomous”, just making the data actually usable.

Curious what people here have seen work in practice vs what’s just hype?
