Need advise on weight loss and cycling
So I am 28 Y.O. 1m 80 cm, and 116 kg. 8 years ago I was doing 100km in odessa with friends for the fun of it, and I also was but 75 kg, but than covid + 2 years of depression followed by ukranian war that kept me working from home from 4 walls in front of 2 monitors, I got out now, almost out of debt, 2 weeks to go. And I wanna buy a bike cuz I know I like it and it helps with weight loss, but I am somewhat afraid of me being unable to go further than 2 km without literally panting and getting my breath lost. Anyone here tried E-bikes? I have only like $1300 usd, and I live in eastern europe right now, I can buy a decent Scott MTB or a beginner E-bike for that money here. So if there is anyone knowing how beginner E-bikes will fare with someone as fat as I became I would like an advise, will the motor not break under my weight? Will I actually still lose weight? Is quality of beginner e bikes good enough to buy them or is it safer to stick to something regular but proven? I wanna ride long rides, It's very scenic just outside my town and I do enjoy ridin bikes, just unfortunately in a new country I don't have enough folks I got familiar with to ask them to let me ride. Very afraid to just sit on a bike and roll for 2 km, sweat out and exhaust and never touch it again, I am very weak to my emotional responses.
