Husband in hospice,no will (WA)

Location: Washington State

My husband is currently in home hospice. I his primary caregiver and we have 1 some who is aminor.

He has no will and is probably beyond the point where he could sign legal paperwork. He has lucid moments throughout the day but they are unpredictable. Leaving the house is impossible.

We don't own any real estate.

His biggest assets are various older vehicles in disrepair and mechanic's tools from his younger days.

He also owns registered weapons. He is prior military so there may be something that is no longer legal to buy, but I haven't checked into it at all.

Currently looking into hiring an attorney to help out, but thought I would come to Reddit while I wait for them to respond.

Advice for next steps for an overwhelmed exhausted spouse???
