Is anyone actually making money from their SaaS? Feeling a bit disconnected from all the “I made $10k in 30 days” posts.
Post:
I launched 2 micro SaaS products last month. Got some free users, a bit of traffic, and a few people saying the products are useful… but zero paying customers so far.
Meanwhile every time I open Reddit, Twitter, or LinkedIn, it’s:
- “Made $5k MRR in my first month”
- “Quit my job after 3 weeks”
- “Built this in a weekend and now it prints money while I sleep”
Humanity really turned entrepreneurship into a casino mixed with performance art. Everyone posts revenue screenshots, nobody posts Stripe notifications that never arrived.
So I’m curious:
- How long did it actually take you to get your first paying customer?
- Were your first users mostly free users too?
- Did your SaaS eventually grow, or did you shut it down and move on?
- What changed things for you?
Just looking for honest experiences, not viral success stories.
