Buying a House in Grand Forks
Posting from a throwaway account. My wife is pregnant with our first child, and we waited to buy a home with the hope that prices would come down.
Homes on the Southern end of town are 400k-500k. Prices have only gone up. We have friends who built homes in the same area only a few years ago, and we would pay 50k more for the same house design.
Our take home is 90k per year, and nothing we could afford in our price range is something that we would want to buy.
I am ready to explore options to earn more. If you have bought a house in the last few years, could you share what you pay monthly for a mortgage and what you do or have done to afford it?
