Is this what a tick is? I attempted to get it but it wasn’t easily moved- left it alone fearing to not cause pain if it’s knotted hair.
What does it look like and is this something that should be removed? If so by a technician or at home?

Thank you all for the quick response. I sent same photo to the vet clinic and they also think it’s a tick. First time dealing with this and it’s been there for a while. For precautions I’ve made an appointment to have it removed.
