Unpopular Opinion: Heer and Nawab’s "crux" is entirely gone, and they shouldn't be endgame.

Despite their differences, the protagonists of any fiction,be it a show or a novel, should share a fundamental crux, a core bond that ultimately connects them. Unfortunately, Heer and Nawab no longer have that.

Heer has developed a deep sense of entitlement when it comes to Nawab. She constantly tries to "play God" with his life while simultaneously blaming him for everything that goes wrong in her own. Meanwhile, she gives Arjun an immense amount of undue importance. She is overly invested in making her engagement and subsequent relationship with Arjun work, pouring far too much care into a dynamic that clearly isn't right.

On the other side, Nawab has finally reached his limit after making countless, exhausting efforts. He has chosen to give up and move on, and the makers are also portraying Simran as the perfect balm for his wounds. Narrative clearly suggests that Simran provides the genuine support and care that Heer’s character sadly lacked after a certain point of time and sadly it continues till now.

Most importantly, the narrative also highlights Nawab’s growing comfort and affection for Simran. Around Heer, Nawab’s nerves were always tensed, as if he constantly had to prove his worth. With Simran, he finally experiences a sense of lightness and ease.

If I was a writer, I would have never bought Heer and Nawab back together.

As per the current narrative, and the whole show is gone after a certain point, the most possible and edible outcome would be:

For Nawab: Simran is currently the healthiest choice. She offers him the peace and appreciation he has earned.

For Heer: She needs to step away from romance entirely to focus on her individual growth. She must break off her engagement with Arjun, free herself from these toxic cycles, and learn to stand on her own two feet.

Ultimately, Heer deserves a balanced relationship too where she neither constantly blames her partner nor faces constant blame herself. But a healthy, mutual love like that is simply impossible with either Nawab (first case applies) or Arjun (second case applies)

It is better this way.

SETTING: BRAR MANSION – NAWAB’S ROOM

TIME: 5:00 AM

The room is dim. NAWAB is sitting on the edge of the bed, strapping the wrist brace HEER bought him. He moves his wrist—it feels firm, supported.

Heer is at the store room, pinning her hair back with sharp, focused movements. She looks exhausted, but her eyes are bright.

NAWAB

(Comes there and Looks at her through the mirror)

You’re not going to work today.

HEER

(Without turning)

I have to report at my work, Nawab.

NAWAB

(walks behind her, and places his hands on her shoulders)

I said, you’re not going. Today, you’re sitting in the front row of the pavilion. If I don't see you there, I won't know where to aim the ball.

Heer looks at his hands on her—steady, protective. Finally she made nawab trust them again, but the cost is visible on her pale face.

HEER

(Turning around, clutching his shirt)

Many people out there say that I’m your weakness.

NAWAB

(Leaning down, his nose touching hers,)

Then let’s show them you’re my armor.

SETTING: CPU – CRICKET STADIUM

TIME: 10:00 AM

The atmosphere is electric. ARJUN is already on the field, looking smug. TINA is in the VIP stand next to GULAAB, who is dressed in a royal chiffon saree, looking like a queen who has already won.

NAWAB walks out of the pavilion. The crowd goes silent. The "Drug Scandal" whispers start like a hiss.

TINA

(, loud enough for others to hear)

Look at him. He actually thinks he can make a comeback after what happened.

ARJUN

(Walking past Nawab)

Nice brace, Nawab. Did your wife buy that with her tip money?

Nawab doesn't react. He looks at the stands. In the very first row, seated away from the elite squad, is HEER. She’s wearing a simple white suit, looking like a silent flame. She is smiling at him and that's enough.

SCENE: THE BATTLE ON THE PITCH

The match is brutal. The bowler is bowling with a vendetta, aiming for Nawab’s ribs, his head, his weak wrist.

HEER watches, her heart in her throat. Every time Nawab gets hit, she winces, but she doesn't look away. She sees TINA smirking every time Nawab misses a shot.

TINA

(Leaning toward Heer)

He’s losing his rhythm, Heer. Just like he’s losing his mind over you. Give it up.

HEER

(Without looking at her, voice cold)

Watch the next ball, Tina.

ON THE PITCH:

Nawab looks at Heer. He sees the tiredness in her eyes—the physical proof of how hard she worked to keep him standing. Something in him snaps.

He hits a massive six off bowler's best delivery. Then another. He’s not just playing; he’s taking revenge for all the wrong that happened to them. He finishes the half-century with a boundary.

SETTING:  PAVILION

TIME: POST-MATCH

Nawab is the hero of the hour. The selectors are surrounding him.

HEER is waiting by the lockers. She’s leaning against a pillar, finally letting her exhaustion show. Her head is spinning.

NAWAB pushes through the crowd, ignoring the selectors, and heads straight for her.

NAWAB

Heer! Did you see—

He stops. He sees her swaying. Before she can fall, he catches her in a crushing grip.

NAWAB (CONTINUE)

(Panic in his voice)

Heer? Heer!

ARJUN

(Walking by, bitter)

Great timing, Heer.

NAWAB

(Turning on Arjun with a look of pure murder)

One more word, Arjun, and I’ll give you a reason to visit the hospital.

Heer opens her eyes slightly, clutching Nawab’s jersey.

HEER

(A whisper,with a faint smile)

You made it Nawab as we always wanted, on your own merits, with your own hard work. Now nobody will call you loser.

NAWAB

(Holding her close, ignoring the world)

Yes, I did it. We did it.You’ve saved me... now let me take you home.

GULAAB walks down to them, her face filled with fury.

GULAAB

Nawab! The selectors are waiting for a statement! Leave that girl!

NAWAB

(Standing, holding a semi-conscious Heer in his arms)

Mom I’m playing for the team. But I’m living for her. If your house isn't big enough for my wife, then it’s not big enough for me.

He walks out of the CPU stadium, carrying Heer past a stunned Tina and a defeated Arjun.

BRAR MANSION – NIGHT

Nawab carries Heer into the mansion and straight into his room. He lays her on the bed and starts taking off her shoes, his hands gentle.

HEER

(Weakly)

You have to practice tomorrow...

NAWAB

(Sitting beside her, taking her hand)

Tomorrow, I practice. Tonight, I take care of you.

He leans down and kisses her forehead—a long, lingering seal of their new, unbreakable bond. The "Separation" is officially over. The "War" is won.

NAWAB (CONT'D)

(Whispering)

Sleep, heer. Your Nawab is at home.

We are at home.

FADE OUT.

Thank you so much guys for all the appreciation you have bestowed on my novice immature writing.

SETTING: CPU –  CAMPUS CAFETERIA

TIME: DAY

HEER is sitting at a cramped desk in the university's cafeteria sweating as A.C. isn't working. She’s working a part-time job as a clerk to pay for her sister’s school fees and her father’s debt. She looks exhausted; her eyes have dark circles, and she’s skipping lunch as she spends her lunch money on a high-grade wrist-support brace for Nawab’s upcoming match, which sits on the table in a plain brown bag.

She also had to complete her assignment and study for an upcoming class test.

Right now her death seems much easier than all the burden she is carrying.

Even the strongest soldier needs a break & she is not getting one.

HEER (sighs with an eye roll)

Urghh! I am not catching a break.

TINA walks by with the CPU SQUAD, laughing & notices the brace.

TINA

(Mocking)

Is that for Nawab, Heer? You’re working double shifts just to buy him gear he can afford ten times over? It’s pathetic.

Maybe if you asked Nawab for a loan, you wouldn't have to smell like old paper.

ARJUN

(Standing there to buy a coffee)

He hasn't even looked at you in the canteen for three days, Heer. Why are you doing this to yourself? You’re losing weight, you look exhausted... just go home.

HEER

(Doesn't look up from her work)

He doesn't need to look at me to know I was there, Arjun. And Tina? Because it's me, thats the only reason Nawab hasn't signed the divorce papers you’re so desperate for. Now, move. You’re blocking the light, and I have work to do.I'm not idle.

Tina spills her latte near the files heer working on.

Heer doesn't look up. She wipes the spill with a napkin, her jaw set.

ARJUN watches from a distance, looking for a way to intervene and look like the hero, but a sharp whistle stops him.

NAWAB is standing at the entrance of the cafeteria. He doesn't look at Heer. He doesn't defend her. He simply looks at the Cafeteria Manager.

NAWAB

(Voice cold, authoritative)

Manager. The AC in the cafeteria is not working. Fix it. And make sure that no-one bullies otherwise they had to deal with me as you may have forgotten but no-one can beat me in that area.I excel in it.

The Manager pales and nods instantly. Tina scoffs and walks away. While her squad rushed out in fear.Heer looks up, but Nawab is already walking out, his back to her.

HEER (V.O.)

He knew I could handle these bullies and he poked his nose in my business and then wanted me to believe that everything was over.

He is seriously stupid to think that I will believe his nonsense....and a smile creeps on her lips.

NAWAB (walking through corridor angrily,thinking)

Although I acted out as if it doesn't affect me but how those students dared to bully her,I have sent the message clear that Heer is off-limits,it looks like Tina is not getting that message.I would have to deal with her.

TINA (crossing NAWAB)

NAWAB (calls out TINA)

TINA I think you have nothing left to do besides poking HEER.

We used to be friends and based on that past friendship I would like to give you friendly advice.

STAY AWAY FROM HEER, OTHERWISE IT WON'T BE GOOD FOR YOU, & OUT OF ALL PEOPLE YOU KNOW BETTER TO TAKE MY WORDS SERIOUSLY.

Tina (scoffs with a smirk)

Is it advice or warning, NAWAB??

NAWAB (also smirks)

It's upto you,how you want to take it...I would only suggest paying heed.

NAWAB leaves while TINA thinks that after such a humiliation he is still crazy about HEER.

What does that girl have, that all others lack.

SETTING: CPU – CORRIDOR

TIME: LATER THAT DAY

Nawab is walking toward the locker rooms when he sees a heated argument near the Admin office. HEER is standing her ground against a DEBT COLLECTOR who has tracked her to the college.

COLLECTOR

Your father took the money! If you don't pay the interest by tonight, we’re coming to your house.

HEER

(Voice trembling but firm)

I told you, I’ll have it by the weekend. I’m working extra hours. Don't you dare go near my mother!

Nawab watches from the shadows of the corridor. His jaw tightens. He wants to step out and throw his credit card at the man, but he stops. He struggles between his pride and his love.

HEER (V.O.)

(As she walks away, wiping a lone tear)

Should I tell him.No, I won't let him see me break. He needs to focus on his game, not my mess.

SETTING; A shady godown.

NAWAB (comes on his bike)

He sits on one of the empty chair startling debt collector.

Before he could ask any question NAWAB throws the money on his face which he himself earned in last six months by going to various tournaments and warns him to stay away from Heer and her family otherwise repercussions would be dangerous for him to deal with as he wouldn't want to mess with the youngest son of Brars.

HEER (terrified of how to pay the debt gets call)

DEBT COLLECTOR (on call)

Your father paid the whole debt, you have no need to pay anymore and cuts the phone before heer can ask any questions.

She wonders how had Ajit paid the debt.

And then a simple, knowing smile blooms on her face.

She knew who paid debt to those goons.

SETTING: BRAR MANSION DRIVEWAY

TIME: NIGHT

Nawab returns from late practice to find Heer sitting on the porch steps, waiting for him. She has the brown bag with the wrist brace in her lap.

NAWAB

(Getting out of the car, voice harsh)

Are you insane? It’s 11 PM. Why are you outside?

HEER

(Standing up, her legs wobbly from exhaustion)

You forgot your wrist-guard today. I saw you flinch during the practice match.I bought you a better one... The shopkeeper told me it's the best one.

NAWAB

(Ignoring the bag)

I don’t want the brace!I saw the Debt Collector and you "begging" him for time today! Why didn't you come to me?You still don't trust me?? Right??

HEER

(Looking up at him)

Because I’m not your charity, Nawab! If I can't even handle my own struggles, how can I be anyone's support system? I will never be your weakness.

NAWAB

(Shaking her slightly, his eyes raw with emotion)

Your "strength" is killing me, Heer! You’re working yourself to the bone while I’m living in luxury! Every bite of food I take feels like poison because I know you’re skipping meals to buy me things.

HEER

(Softly, touching his face)

Then eat for me. Play for me. Win for me. That’s all I want.

Nawab looks at her—pale, wet, and absolutely determined. He pulls her into a crushing embrace, hiding his face in her open hair.

NAWAB

(A muffled, broken growl)

I hate you. I hate how much I still love you. You’ve won, okay? You’ve won. Just... just stop hurting yourself.

HEER

(Sobbing into his chest)

Does that mean you're coming home? To me?

NAWAB

(Pulling back, looking at her with a look of devotion)

I never left, Heer. I was just waiting for you to find me.

Behind them, in the dark window of the mansion, GULAAB watches in silence.

NAWAB

(Taking the brown bag, then picking Heer up in his arms)

Let’s go inside. We have a trial match to win tomorrow. And after that... we deal with my mother & your father Together.

FADE OUT.

SETTING: BRAR MANSION – NAWAB’S ROOM

TIME: LATE NIGHT

The room is dark, lit only by a single desk lamp. NAWAB is obsessively watching footage of his old matches on a tablet. He looks sharp, but his eyes are hollow.

The door creaks. HEER enters. She isn't asking for permission anymore. She’s carrying a stack of college notes.

NAWAB

(Without looking up)

I don’t remember hiring a shadow, Heer.

HEER

(Placing the notes over his tablet screen, forcing him to look up)

And I don’t remember marrying a man who hides in the dark. You have a mid-term tomorrow at CPU, and your cricket trials are few days after. You’re neglecting your brain to punish your body.

NAWAB

(Standing up, towering over her)

My 'brain' is doing just fine. So why are you here? To fix your guilt of what happened?

HEER

(Stepping into his personal space, her hand brushing his chest)

I’m here to fix you. My guilt is my own burden, Nawab. But your failure is something I won't allow. You think you’re being 'disciplined' by ignoring me? You’re just scared.

NAWAB

(A dark, sarcastic laugh)

Scared of what exactly??

HEER

Scared that if you let me stay, you’ll realize you never stopped loving me. Even when you were drinking relentlessly to forget my name.

Nawab grabs her wrist. It’s not a violent move, but it’s intense—that old, possessive Nawab spark flickering back to life.

NAWAB

(Low, dangerous whisper)

You’re very confident for someone who is one signature away from a divorce.

HEER

(Leaning in, her breath hitting his neck)

Then why don't you sign it. The papers have been on your desk for six months. Why is the ink still dry, Nawab?

Nawab looks at the papers, then back at her. He lets go of her wrist, but he doesn't move away. The distance between them is charged with a year’s worth of electricity.

Heer moves back and keep those notes on his desk with an instruction to read for the mid term next day and leaves, with Nawab sitting down and starts reading because how much he says he doesn't need heer. His whole body knows that he survived all these months because she never left his side. He let out a sigh and engrossed himself in preparing for his upcoming mid term.

SETTING: CPU – THE STAIRS

TIME: NEXT DAY

Nawab is walking down the stairs after his exam. He looks distant. The whispers follow him, but he ignores them.

Suddenly, he sees HEER standing with a group of students. She’s laughing—a real, genuine laugh. Nawab stops. He hates how much he missed that sound.

He walks over, his presence turning the air heavy.

NAWAB

(To the group, but eyes on Heer)

I need the car keys. I’m going to the grounds.

HEER

(Doesnt move, just looks up at him with a smirk)

The keys are in my bag. I’m coming to the grounds to watch you.

NAWAB

(Jaw tightening)

I don’t want you there AGAIN.

HEER

(Walking up slowly, closer until she’s the only thing he can see)

You don't get a choice. You’re the one who told me once that you play better when I’m watching. I’m just holding you to your word, Nawab Brar.

Nawab looks around. People are staring. He leans down, whispering into her ear, his voice a mix of fury and suppressed desire.

NAWAB

You’re making a scene.

HEER

(Whispering back)

I’m making a claim. Let them watch. I am not letting go

Nawab gives her a look that is pure obsession—half-hating her for her stubbornness, half-worshipping her for it. He turns and walks away, but he’s walking faster now, his stride full of the confidence she just breathed back into him.

SETTING: BRAR MANSION GARDEN

TIME: NIGHT – HEAVY RAIN

Nawab is practicing in the rain. He’s soaking wet, swinging his bat with violence that says he’s trying to kill his memories.

Heer runs out with an umbrella. She tries to cover him.

HEER

Nawab! Stop! You’ll get a fever before the match!

NAWAB

(Dropping the bat, spinning her around)

LET ME GET SICK! Maybe then you’ll finally leave! Why won't you just go back to your home, Heer? Why do you keep coming back to a man who keeps pushing you away, hurting you?My insecurity is giving you tears and sleepless nights and I hate myself for that. Why don't you just give up,Heer? WHY

HEER

(Dropping the umbrella, standing in the rain with him)

BECAUSE I’m a fool, I’m a stupid and I’m a girl who made a mistake! But I’m not a coward! I’m staying right here until you look at me the way you did before that incident!

Nawab looks at her—wet, shivering, but standing her ground like a lioness. He lunges forward, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her flush against him.

NAWAB

(Screaming over the rain)

I TOLD MYSELF I WOULDN'T DO THIS! I TOLD MYSELF YOU WERE THE REASON I LOST EVERYTHING!

HEER

(Cupping his face, tears mixing with rain)

Then take it all back Nawab..who is stopping you.

I am still here.

Nawab doesn't wait. He crushes his forehead against hers. He doesn't kiss her—not yet—but he’s holding her so tight it’s as if he’s trying to pull her back into his ribcage.

NAWAB

(A broken whisper)

I can’t breathe when you’re near me. And I can’t live when you’re not. God help me, Heer... what have you done to me?

HEER

(Closing her eyes, leaning into him)

I just brought you home, Nawab. I just brought you home.

SCENE:  CRICKET ACADEMY NETS

TIME: LATE AFTERNOON – A STORM IS BREWING

The sky is filled with clouds. Thunder rumbles. Most players have headed to the locker rooms, but NAWAB is still in the nets. Still practice throwing balls at wickets.

HEER is standing nearby. She is holding his kit bag. She’s been recording him for three hours.

NAWAB

(Screaming over the thunder)

Go home, Heer! The rain is about to start. You’ll get sick and then you’ll blame me for that too!

HEER

(Calmly)

I’m not leaving until you finish. Focus on your footwork, Nawab. You’re leaning too far left because you’re trying to look at me!

Nawab growls in frustration. He’s exhausted. His breath is coming in ragged gasps.

NAWAB

(Dropping the ball)

ENOUGH!

He storms out of the nets, stops right in front of her.

NAWAB (CONTINUE)

What do you want? Do you want me to say I forgive you? Do you want a "thank you" for always giving me tips on how to improve, for always making notes in class for me?

You’re acting like a shadow, Heer.

It’s suffocating!

HEER

(Stepping out to meet him)

I don’t want a "thank you." I want you to stop punishing yourself! You’re playing like you’re at war with the ball. Cricket is your love, Nawab, not your enemy.

NAWAB

(Grabbing her shoulders, his eyes filled with repressed emotion)

You were my love, Heer! And look what happened!  Every time I look at a cricket pitch, I see the locker room. I see the look on your face when you slapped me. I see the disappointment of yours in me,how much I tried I can't get it out of my system.

HEER

(Her voice cracking, but firm)

Then look at this proof!

She pulls a small, laminated photo from her pocket—it’s the picture Nawab took of her secretly months ago, when they were dating.

HEER (CONTINUE)

I found this in your old bag. You kept it even when you claim that everything is over between us. Why? Because I’m your mirror.

You’re mad because I’m the only one who knows you’re not as "cold" as you pretend to be. You’re still the boy who wants to win for his father, who wants to be on his own merits, who wants me.And I’m the girl who’s going to make it happen.

Nawab looks at the photo, then at her. He lets go of her shoulders, his hands trembling.

NAWAB

(A whisper)

I can't do this, Heer. I’m tired of fighting you.

HEER

Then stop fighting me. Let me fight for you.

SETTING: BRAR MANSION – THE DRAWING ROOM

TIME: NIGHT

GULAAB is hosting a "Society Tea." Several influential women and a few Cricket Board members are present. She’s trying to rebuild the family’s image by pretending everything is perfect.

GULAAB

(Smiling falsely)

Yes, Nawab is focusing purely on his fitness. He’s realized that some "distractions" from his past were a mistake.

Suddenly, HEER enters. She is dressed in a traditional, simple pink suit. She carries her suitcase with her.

HEER

(With a sweet, sharp smile)

Oh, mummyji, you’re too modest. You should tell them how Nawab is training eight hours a day to prove his innocence.

The guests murmur. Gulaab’s face pales.

GULAAB

Heer, what are you doing here... we are having a private meeting.

HEER

(Placing the suitcase, her eyes locking onto Gulaab’s)

But this is a family matter, isn't it? I am family infact his wife so I should be here and part of this discussion.I mean I am the most aware person regarding that drug case where nawab was trapped falsely and his reputation took a hit.

One of the Board members looks up, interested.

BOARD MEMBER

I thought the case was closed.

HEER

Cases are only closed when the truth is out. But here truths still tend to come out. Don't they, mummyji

Gulaab drops her teacup. It shatters on the marble floor. The room goes silent.

HEER (CONTINUE)

(To the guests)

Forgive the mess. My mother-in-law is just a bit overwhelmed by how "dedicated" I’ve become to this family.

SETTING: BRAR MANSION – THE KITCHEN

TIME: 2:00 AM

Nawab is standing by the fridge, drinking cold water. He’s brooding.

Heer walks in. She doesn't say anything. She starts boiling milk.

NAWAB

(Without turning)

My mother is upstairs having a nervous breakdown because of you.

HEER

Good. It’ll keep her busy so she doesn't have time to plot against us for some time.

NAWAB

(Turns around, leaning against the counter)

You’re really going to do it, aren't you? You’re going to stay until there’s nothing left of the old Nawab.

HEER

(Approaching him with the glass)

The old Nawab was a brat. The current Nawab is a stone. I want the man in the middle. The one who stood up for me when I was alone. The one who told me he’d destroy himself if I left.

She holds the glass out. Nawab reaches for it, but his hand covers hers instead. He doesn't pull away. The silence is thick with 6 months of unspoken words.

NAWAB

(Low, intense)

I know you are following me for 6 months to every practice, making sure I am well fed and in optimum health because you want me to get selected in the team as you know that I was falsely blamed and accused.

But

What happens if you win, Heer? What happens if I get back on the team and my name is cleared? Will you leave then? Will you decide you’ve "paid your debt" and disappear?

HEER

(Stepping into his warmth, her voice a soft vow)

I’m not here to pay a debt. I’m here because I want to be here, with you.

Nawab’s eyes soften for a split second. He slowly reaches out and tucks a stray hair behind her ear. His touch is no longer cold; it’s a lingering, aching caress.

NAWAB

Don't make me trust you again, Heer. If I break this time, there won't be enough pieces to put back together.

HEER

Then don't break. Lean on me.

Nawab looks at her for a long beat, then takes the glass. He drinks it, his eyes never leaving hers. He’s coming around, but the fear of betrayal still hangs between them like a unresolved mystery.

FADE OUT.

I have written after slap incident when heer finally comes across the truth of drug fiasco and Nawab finally gave up and gives her divorce papers because he had lost all hope and then we saw a determined heer and next episode opens up after 6 months where heer left brar mansion and returned to her house and nawab at his house

PART 2

SETTING: BRAR MANSION – NAWAB’S ROOM / THE VILLAGE HOUSE

TIME: NIGHT

HEER’S VILLAGE HOUSE

The room is dark. AJIT is rummaging through a trunk, looking for the "Hoodie." He’s sweating, his hands shaking from withdrawal and fear. He finds it—but as he pulls it out, a foot slams onto the fabric.

HEER stands there. She isn't the weeping girl anymore. Her eyes are cold, sharp, and with a new kind of purpose.

AJIT

(Growling)

Move your foot, Heer.

HEER

I have kept your sectet safe for last 6 months but you are not getting me,okay let me inform the police.

She leans down, her face inches from his.

HEER (CONTINUE)

You drugged a boy’s career for a few bottles of scotch. You sold my happiness for Gulaab’s money. I had told you don't leave this room, don't drink, even don't breathe without my permission.

AJIT

(Scared)

You're my daughter... you wouldn't...

HEER

(Grabbing the hoodie)

I was never your daughter & I even stopped caring for you the moment you became a henchman. And above all you hurt my Nawab. An offense which deserves no maafi. And a wife protects her husband from monsters—even if the monster is her own blood.

She turns to her Mother, who is watching from the door.

HEER (CONTINUE)

Ma, if he tries to leave, call the SHO. I’ve already given them a "tip" about a local thief.

Choose him, or choose me.

Heer walks out into the night, the hoodie tucked under her arm like a trophy.

BRAR MANSION – NAWAB’S ROOM

The room is depressed as if mirroring nawab. No posters, NO trophies, No pics,no mess as earlier.

NAWAB is doing push-ups. One-handed. His face is a full of agony, but he doesn't stop. He’s punishing his body so he doesn't have to feel his heart.

A shadow falls over the doorway. It’s GULAAB.

GULAAB

Nawab, beta... enough. You’ve been training for four hours. Come, eat something-

NAWAB

(Without stopping)

I’m busy.

GULAAB

Nawab please stop now!

It's been 6 months, stop punishing yourself for what that village girl called you.

Nawab stops. He stands up, sweat dripping off him, his eyes dark.

NAWAB

The "village girl" was right, Mom. I was a loser. I let you handle my life. I let you choose my shortcuts. But that Nawab died six months ago.

GULAAB

What are you saying? I did everything for your happiness!

NAWAB (with a smirk)

Seriously mom!

Then why am I not happy?

He walks past her, his shoulder cold. He goes to the balcony—the same one where he once dreamt of a future with Heer—and stares into the darkness.

EXTERIOR OF BRAR MANSION – GARDEN – NEXT MORNING

Nawab is shadow-practicing his batting. The gates open. He doesn't look. He assumes it’s a servant. But the footsteps are different. They are firm. Determined.

HEER walks onto the grass. She sits on the bench right next to his cricket kit.

NAWAB

(Stops swinging, doesn't turn)

The security must be getting lazy. I told them no visitors.

HEER

I’m not a visitor, Nawab. This is my home as well

NAWAB

(Turns, eyes burning)

Leave, Heer. I don’t want your here. I don’t want your face in my sight.

HEER

(Calmly)

You can hate the face and push me as much as you want but I'll do what I want. You’re weak. Your timing is off by half a second because your blood sugar is low. You want to make the Indian Team like this? Eh! Eat.

NAWAB

(Steps into her space, towering over her)

You think this is a joke? You think you can slap me, abandon me and then come here everyday and everything would be fine?

HEER

(She stands up, her chest almost touching his)

No. Nothing is fine. I was wrong. I was a fool to not believe you, to not trust you,yes I made a mistake, and I am not denying that.

But I had my reasons Nawab, I tried very hard and you also know that.

Have you forgotten that you left me at the altar after marriage

Have you forgotten you got committed to a girl while married to me.

But still I left everything behind and chose to trust you.

Despite my traumas and fears, I placed my faith in you and you have no idea how hard I tried to keep my side of bargain.

I am not making excuses or trying to shift the blame

Yes I did fail you.

I did betrayed your trust.

I put out relationship in box of questions

I am not denying this.

I couldn't see the truth,I got blinded by proofs over you.

So now, I will be the one who will clean the mess I created.

She reaches out and touches the bruise on his arm from his intense training. Nawab flinches but doesn't pull away.

HEER (CONTINUE)

I’ve dealt with my father. He’s locked in. Now, I’m here to deal with you. You can push me, yell at me, or ignore me. But I’m going to be at every practice. I’m going to be at every meal. I’m going to haunt you until you realize that you’re not a loser and you haven't lost me I am still yours and you’re mine

We belong to each other and together.

NAWAB

(He grabs her wrist, his grip tight, and with  intense eyes)

You’re playing with fire, Heer. I’m not the boy who followed you around like a puppy anymore. I have nothing left to lose.

HEER

Good. Because when you have nothing, you can finally see what’s real.

She pulls her wrist back, and leaves.

HEER (CONTINUE)

I’ll be back at 4 PM at your evening practice to see how much progress you had made. And yes I am moving back.

I lived at my home for past 6 months to give you space but now I am coming back to the place which is rightfully mine. And yes Inform your mother (with an evil smile)

As she walks away, Nawab looks at her retreating figure. His eyes are fixed on her until she disappears, a mix of pure resentment and a love so deep it terrifies him.

. BRAR MANSION – GULAAB’S ROOM

Gulaab is watching from the window, her face contorted with rage. She picks up her phone and dials a number.

GULAAB

Ajit? Why is your daughter at my gates? I thought you handled her!

AJIT (On Phone)

(Voice trembling, muffled)

I can't talk. She... she took the Hoodie. She has the proof. If I move, I go to jail.

Gulaab drops the phone. She looks at the garden. She sees Nawab sitting on the bench, in deep thoughts. She realizes for the first time—she isn't fighting a girl. She’s fighting a woman who has nothing left to fear.

FADE OUT.
