Asiatic Orange Lillies

so here’s what I’m working with: I live in Waxhaw, NC and these lilies have been planted here years ago by my fiancée. There used to be more flowers but now it’s mostly just greenery. I really love the vibrant orange lilies here and I’m scared they are slowly dying away. I did read a post about propagating the bulbs and collecting seeds and that was awesome but the soil is mostly red clay. I do create “bowls” and fill them with fresh potting soil to give my plants something to grow on until their roots branch out and it’s a hit or miss as far as surviving. these lilies didn’t get the soil treatment, they were planted in the clay directly and for a while thrived. is there anything I can do to revitalize these flowers? Oh the shaded area is a dead zone. Nothing grows back there.
