Watch recommendation

Yet another one of these. I currently have a fitbit Sense that I wear daily. It's battery is still okay, but I am needing to charge it every other day or so. I'm also not sure how accurate the step counts and heart rate is.

I am looking at potential replacements. Doing research it seems like Garmin is the leader in step counts. Their HR monitor also seems to do well. Because of this I am leaning towards one of the Garmins, but open to options. It seems like the vivoactive series is the best fit for me, although I don't really care about the smart watch features.

I'm trying to get into working out slowly but surely. I want something that fairly accurately represents the caloric burn I get for the day as I manage dietary changes. Given I don't do crazy workouts daily, most of my activity is walking during the day plus passive burn. When working out I do want to start monitoring my HR more to make sure I'm keeping in the correct zone.

I don't really care about smartwatch features. Notifications from messaging apps are a nice to have. Otherwise I disable everything. I don't need my watch harassing me about doing poorly or every time I get another spam email or call. I also need it to look good enough to wear every day at work.

TLDR:

Android

<$300USD

General, accurate health and fitness tracking

Messaging notifications if possible

Professional enough looking for work
