Money Grab for short. Out of touch with core supporters.

As someone who has watched this pod for almost 8 years… it is very obvious that (from topics, takes, pod personalities, and guests) management is taking a conscious effort to feed fringe parts of the internet , in order to get expansion.

I used to go to the podcast to hear jokes, passionate hip-hop takes, and most importantly honest opinions. This is not it. From shorty who came on the Patreon out the Blue during hip-hop season, to them being short about Hov making a move that shook the whole hip-hop world, to being long about Diddy’s meat. This pod is coming apart at its seams. An identity struggle and false pride on awful takes.

If I hear that “doctor’s” name again.. makes me sick.

I love Freeze, but Joe is podding like Freeze now… don’t deep dive on shabang but not on real rap. Feel like management has the pod going off the deep end.

Remember when Joe and Rory had tension? It’s worse than this, because Ish’s pod personality is becoming more abhorrent, and the clashes with Joe are no longer entertaining.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

They need to go back to the gym, go outside, talk to real people, or at least read articles or things on the internet that are deeper than the basic AI summaries on the explore page.

I fear management has flown too close to the sun. At some point people sell out. I know Marc feels it, I see it. They need to fix this , even if that means a vacation from the pod. Do a few weeks with more short-form pods with subsets of the cast.
