Hello! Back in the early 00s I had an eccentric art teacher who used to blast good music in the art classes. There was one jazz compilation I really liked and he gave me a copy of it on an unmarked tape. I think it was a Blue Note compilation and it had Cissy Strut, Cantaloupe Island, Matrix and lots of funky tunes. I haven’t been able to find the exact mix since. Does this ring a bell to anyone?
