Gallbladder removal extreme post op pain
Two weeks ago I got really sick in the middle of the night and thought I was having a heart attack or bad anxiety attack, took awhile but I got through it. Then Wednesday night the same thing happened accompanied by projectile throwing up with chest pain so horrible I thought I was going to die. I went to the ER, turns out I have gallbladder stones. I got the surgery yesterday. I apparently got into recovery at 2pm. I guess because the anesthesia I don’t remember and only remember about 5pm and afterwards. The pain in the recovery room is the worst pain i have ever felt. The only other time i have given a 10 on the pain scale is when I gave birth. I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my ankle last year and didn’t even rank it a 10. I have 22 piercings and I’m covered in tattoos. In recovery, they were giving me multiple doses of IV fentanyl, dilaudid, Tylenol, gas meds, and liquid percosets. Nothing helped. I was suppose to go home but because they can’t get the pain under control they had to keep me. I have been in my hospital room since then laying flat on my back trying not to move, and the pain is still at a 6 or 7 when not moving. But even slightly having to move or attempt to sit up and go to the bathroom is full blown level 10 pain. Is this normal? I have two friends who recently had this surgery and said they felt immediate relief after getting their gallbladders out. I feel a thousand times worse after getting mine out. I can’t even move my body to lay on my side, cough, or stretch without excruciating pain. I haven’t slept at all since because of the pain. I am just looking for any advice on how to make this pain stop or make recovery faster. I legit have never felt so horrible in my life
