A shining fairy tale

A movie or a series that feels like the sparkles on the water when the sun shines upon it. Colorful, dreamy, preferably not too dark (or even not at all, but that is not obligatory).

Preferably in a medieval/fantasy setting.

I really like the kind of blurry, glittering visuals of pre-2000s movies, but the periode of release of the movie or series doesn't have to be necessarily from before the 2000s.

I've already seen:

- Lord of the rings and the Hobbit,

- Fantaghiro (Which is the source for one of the images)

- The series Merlin,

- Excalibur from 1981 (which has also been used to illustrate the kind of things I'm searching for),

- Peau d'Âne (same),

- The never ending story,

- Legend,

- Labyrinth (same),

- A knight's tale,

- Maleficient 1 & 2 (used for reference too)

- Voyage of the unicorn (same),

- The secret of moonacre (same),

- Narnia,

- Live action Cinderella,

- The princess bride (forgot to mention it, I'm editing to add it because, of course I've seen it x). Thanks still to the people that thought of recommending it).

These are the movies and series I've already seen that I can think of right now. Not necessarily references for what I'm looking for exactly (but that can still help), but there's no point in suggesting them, and they can be recommendations for people that are looking for the same kind of movies/series :).

Books that feel like a warm summer love story

Hello!

A gay romance (between two men or two women) or queer characters in general (trans rep preferably if so) would be appreciated.

Something slow, romantic and that makes you feel the surrounding nature just by reading it.

I'm french so french books would be perfect, but I can read English.

Thank you in advance!

Have a good day or evening :).

Movies that feel like a warm summer love story

Hello :)

I would like preferably a gay love story (between women or men), or a queer love story in general (with trans characters for example). But it's not obligatory.

Slow, contemplative and romantic, with good music and visually beautiful movies would be appreciated. Again, all the above are not obligatory altogether.

I like movies that are not American (even if American movies are not necessarily to be excluded), as they tend to have a more authentic way of producing movies and are not produced within the standards of Hollywood, to put it simply (at least I think so).

I've already seen Call me by your name, My first summer, Elisa y Marcela and La Belle Saison.

Thank you in advance!

Have a good day.

Edit: I'm no longer going to answer every response I get, but I thank you all for your recommendations and read them all :).
