Hi everyone! I’m a 28-year-old female looking for a 2-bedroom apartment with a base rent of $1,300 or less in Denton, Corinth, or anywhere nearby (Lewisville, Lake Dallas, Argyle, Sanger, etc.).

I work full-time from home, have steady income, and can provide proof of employment.
My biggest obstacle is that I have an unpaid broken lease from about two years ago that’s still showing on my record. I’m actively trying to find somewhere that will work with me despite that. I’m also willing to pay an additional security deposit if needed.

Has anyone been approved recently with a past broken lease? If so, what apartment communities or property management companies were willing to work with you? I’d also love recommendations for private landlords if you know of any.

I’m trying to avoid wasting money on application fees, so firsthand experiences would mean a lot. Thank you so much for any suggestions!
