What kind of trout are these? Caught in the Kern River, CA.

I thought they were stocked rainbow trout, but I remember stocked rainbows being more colorful. I’m wondering if they could be native Kern River rainbow trout? Either that or I’ve seen steelheads look similar to this. Ty!
