This little buddy learned to jump out of his bed-time box

Found an orb weaver in my backyard and the pattern on her abdomen looks like a familiar face!

The living room has a beautiful floor-to-ceiling window (blue) framed by built-in bookshelves (brown), which limits furniture placement. The entrances to the foyer and dining room have some devorative partitions as well. We are struggling to find the best way to lay out the furniture and tv to feel welcoming and allow ease of movement through the space. The 2nd and 3rd pictures are ideas we have thus far (chairs and couch in purple, desk and coffee table in orange, TV in red). Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
