Image 1 — 5 weeks out, healed up SO well. For anyone wondering about the process, I will share my experience. Uveal melanoma in the eye. Done by a specialized ophthalmologist. 10 day course of antibiotics, was able to get off gapapentin after only 4 days.

The first 48 hours were difficult, she couldn’t settle and was pacing and moaning in the early morning, needed to stay on top of pain meds. It was bruised and red for 4 days. I kept the hard cone on for the first two weeks but after a week, I let her wear a soft cone while supervised. She did not poop for the first four days. She perked up ALOT by day 4 and wanted to go on a short walk. By day 7-10 she was back to normal and going on 20 ish min walks. After two weeks she was going on long walks again. She is bumping into furniture occasionally but also doesn’t see great out of her remaining eye.
