Exercise Post Meals?

I know everyone says to walk 10-15 mins after eating to help the glucose spikes but what if walking in swampy humid temps isn’t conducive to life? What is everyone else doing? Are walking pads the way to go? Or just doing a few squats? Resistance bands? I need some ideas, help!

To preface- I’m prediabetic with a very strong family history of diabetes. In addition, I somehow was so lucky to get cancer at the age of 42. In an effort to mitigate possible future health issues, my team and I thought it would be beneficial to get a CGM to learn more about what my body is doing.

Three times during the night I got a low glucose alarm of 54- I woke up pretty confused by it and then throughout the morning, it continued to dip way lower than my average. I have been having some GI issues so I thought maybe that’s why. Anyway, I contacted my PCP and she suggested that I switch sensors. In an effort to not having a complete breakdown, I thought maybe I should get a glucose monitoring system to verify. At the next fast dip I decided I’m going to check my finger test. How could there be such a big discrepancy? My finger test showed 111 and then 12 mins later, 114. My sensor read it as 67 and then lowered to 56. My sensor is only 8 days old- is this normal or did I just get a dud? Does this mean the past week is all inaccurate as well?

I just feel so defeated. I feel like I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop at all times and I’m exhausted.
