Okay, hear me out here. Riding south on the 1 line this morning, in car 297B, and the Megan Rapinoe World Cup announcement plays but is cut off to silence before it finishes. A few moments pass and I hear “your call has been forwarded to voicemail”. I turn off my music and raise my eyebrows, not believing what I think I just heard. More moments pass and then again “your call has been forwarded to voicemail”.

I know it’s the morning and perhaps I’m not quite awake, but has anyone heard experienced this? Occurred between the UW and Capitol Hill stations. There weren’t many riders near me, so I couldn’t verify with another passenger.

Maybe I need more sleep.
