Hi Everyone! My friend (F27) and I (F28) are travelling to Phuket this December. We’ve visited Thailand multiple times but have never stayed in a hostel before and thought it would be fun to try it out, meet people and make new friends.

We’ve heard that hostels in Phuket have mostly Western, white backpackers, and we’re a little worried about feeling left out or out of place, specifically as Indian girls. 😭

Would love to hear genuine advice from experienced travellers and girlies who’ve stayed in hostels in Phuket/ Thailand or had a similar experience.

My friend (F/27) and I (F/26) are flying to Thailand in mid-Dec for a girls trip. We’re both single, and are looking to mingle and party with other international tourists while we’re there.

Our current plan is to be in Phuket from 15-20 and in Koh phangan for the Full Moon Party from 21-25.

1. Looking for recommendations for party hostels at both destinations with good social mingling opportunities
2. ⁠What are the best clubs, pub crawls or nightlife spots in Phuket? Is Bangla street the only party place?
3. ⁠Also, there is a major EDC festival happening in Phuket during this period. We don’t plan to attend it, but will that reduce the crowd/energy at nightlife and hostels during these dates?
4. ⁠We heard about other parties like the Jungle Party being better than the beach party - suggestions?

Last time we went to Thailand, it was post Songkran festivals and the streets were empty. Banking on your responses to make this a happening trip. Thanks in advance.
