pre-kindergarten programs by 24 votes in Lewisboro

Lewisboro-Katonah School District voters rejected pre-kindergarten programs by 24 votes. The average in Westchester for pre-school is $12,000 to $30,000 annually so young parents trade care with friends or grandparents or just dont work. New York State has pre-K for 4-year-olds but that's not universally guaranteed.

$4.59 at my Sunoco

Does anyone here not know that high gas prices are because of the war in Iran?  Yeah what happens in D.C. does hurt me directly.  About half is paid by property tax. The rest paid by state is mostly Fed Money. That $10,000 for pre-school is because of staffing, rent, inflation-overhead which is because choices made in D.C.   So yes, how our Representative votes impacts me.  Do you guys just this page to be reviews of the local dinner or bitching on Next Door because that’s not what I’m looking for. I just want to elect folks who look out for the seniors on my street, the couples trying raise kids, local businesses that make living here better.  I want to see the vote,  not the talk, not promises.

Just my lying eyes acting up again

Frank Bisignano, the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration is quoted as saying on page 4 of the AARP Bulletin that all of the agency’s 1,200 plus local offices will remain open. Well the Social Security Administration (SSA) Office of Hearings Operations located at 75 South Broadway in White Plains, New York looks shut to me.

You are not going fix stuff if you don't have facts.

Mike Lawler can talk about Biden and Obama but most people can see gas prices going up with the Iran War. Like we saw prices going up with COVID, then going down. We can see that. I don’t know why Lawler says what he says.

I cant tell you anything you dont already know. Last week some guy here from Putnam said yeah but it’s the home team. I guess, he meant he’ll support it whatever. He knows, I know, you know, we were lied to. But that doesn't matter to him. Is there anyone who really thinks No-tips-tax and Salt-Cap is saving them bundle?  Before 2017, Salt was FULLY (100%) deductible. Now there’s a cap and Lawler says this is win for us?!  He calls himself “Mr. Salt.”

Trump is incoherent and opportunists see the weakness and stepped in to unburden him with the decision making. Last week Trump talks with Putin for an hour and half. Shortly after he pulls U.S. troops from NATO allies. Now is talking of pulling more.

Not one. He has introduced 98 bills and none were even considered. Only five were even put to a vote in House. Two of those were renaming PO buildings. The others truly insignificant. We need to restore the leadership of Congress. Checks and balances.

No-tax-on-tips is NOT a tax cut. You know what is a tax increase? Your vote for $1 trillion cut to the Social Safety Net. (That’s Congress’s own estimate.)  That Iran war? That’s my tax dollars. Paying back tariffs? that my tax dollars.
