Bike the Ridge is Sunday September 27th from 9AM to 1PM. Ridge Ave will be closed to cars between Howard and Church. Come find ETA in Ridgeville Park (908 Seward St) to get involved in supporting safer streets and better biking in Evanston.

We’re slow rolling every Wednesday evening across Evanston to build community and support for better bikes routes. Join us at 5:45PM this Wednesday at Mason Park (1600 Church St) We need your help to make Evanston safer and more sustainable!

Riders of all ages and abilities welcome. Rides are free, no more than 4 miles, and at a casual family friendly pace.

Evanston Transit Alliance has two great bike rides planned this week: an Adult Ride (10-20 miles) to the North Branch Trail leaving from Fountain Square Tuesday night, and a Slow Roll (3-4 miles) for families along Lincoln/Harrison leaving from Leahy Park Wednesday night. Come out and join us!

Bikers gather to honor crash victims during annual Ride of Silence
Thanks to all who attended the 2026 Evanston-Skokie Ride of Silence, and for the elected officials and police officers who joined as well. We honored those who have been killed or injured on our roads and sent a strong message in support of safer streets and more protected bike infrastructure.

Our annual Ride of Silence is an important and powerful gathering of safe street and cycling supporters: a slow-roll silent procession of bikes in memory of those killed or injured on our roads. Show solidarity by joining us: 7PM on Wednesday, May 20th at Wheel & Sprocket (1027 Davis St)
The Ride of Silence is held the 3rd Wednesday evening during National Bike Month. Cyclists from across the globe take to the roads this night in unity every year, with an estimated 400+ rides across multiple continents.
This is a free ride which goes no faster than 12 mph. All participants must wear helmets, follow the rules of the road and remain silent during the ride. The route will be a short loop less than 10 miles total through Evanston and Skokie, before returning back to where we started. This event is held in collaboration with Skokie Bike Network and the Evanston Bicycle Club.

This month’s trip will be on the Green Bay Trail.
Both fast and leisurely groups will be formed to include everyone.
Afterwards we’ll have happy hour at Ridgeville Tavern with a 10% discount on food & beverage and a drawing for a $25 Evanston E-Gift card.
