I'll be leaving next week on a 10 day work trip. This is my first time using Rover. I've hired two sitters (morning & afternoon) for drop ins/walks as no one had availability to come twice a day. My rescue is well mannered and low energy but still in the 3 month adjusting period; this is the first time we'll be separated, so I'm feeling anxious.
Both sitters have been responsive and have great reviews. I've scheduled a drop in appt with both tomorrow to use as a meet & greet session. I've asked my neighbor to be on standby to pop in, in case of emergencies.
I plan to leave a basket of supplies for them - extra poop bags, wipes, treats, his rain coat - with a thank you note and 30% cash tip. I've setup a lock box outside for the key. Is there anything else I'm forgetting? Any recommendations for what I can do to make these visits easier/smoother for his sitters?
