I purchased this car 3 months ago, and according to the Carfax report, the transmission fluid has never been changed since the vehicle left the factory. When I brought it to the Lexus service center, the mechanic couldn't give me a clear answer on whether the transmission would slip, fail, or hold up fine going forward after the fluid replacement.

I plan to keep this car for at least the next 4 years. It has an eCVT transmission, and while I believe it can handle a fluid change, the mileage is my main concern — it's already past the 60k-mile service interval with no record of any fluid replacement. The last thing I want is a transmission failure down the road.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated!
