Network + Passed! Trifecta Obtained. CYSA + Here we come!

Two years ago I got my A+ and used it to help land my current role as a Network Technician at an MSP. Since then I’ve learned a ton on the job, but honestly I stopped pushing forward on certifications for a while.

About two months ago I decided that needed to change.

I passed Security+ 21 days ago, and today I passed Network+.

The current roadmap over the next 12 months is to pass the CySA+, Pentest+, Data+, Project+, and Linux Essentials

After that I plan to knock out my general education courses through Study.com and apply to WGU for their Cybersec BS.

My Goal is to start college within 18 months finish the degree in 1-2 terms and hopefully total timeline from restarting certs to graduating will be roughly 2-2.5 years

For anyone wondering what helped me most for Security+ and Network+ it was, Jason Dion's courses and practice exams. Using GPT + Codex to build PBQs, quiz weak areas, and explain concepts I struggled with

It’s been a lot of work balancing studying with a full-time MSP job, but I finally feel like I’m building momentum again.

Wish me luck on the next cert. Feel free to ask any questions!

Passed my Sec + 17 days ago I'm going for my Network + Saturday. Advice?

Ok everyone gave great advice for the Sec +. Do you have any advice for the network +? After this I'm taking three months to study for the Cysa+. So I just have to get through this one.

I was so nervous going into this but thanks to the community's great advice I squeaked at a pass. Now on to take Network. Hopefully I'll be back here posting in about 4 weeks.

If anyone's curious what I used. I watched all of Jason Dion's videos and used his practice exams on udemy and I listen to professor messer's videos whenever I was driving.

I take my Security+ exam tomorrow, and I'm definitely feeling nervous, but I think I'm ready. I completed my final practice exam today and scored a 93. Previously, I had been scoring between 82 and 86, so this is my highest score so far. It is also the first time I truly slowed down and treated the practice test like the real exam, which clearly made a difference.

I've been studying for about five weeks, and I currently work as a Network Consultant / Help Desk Level 2 at an MSP. That experience has helped a lot, especially with understanding real-world scenarios.

This is part of a bigger plan for me. I am starting at WGU next year to pursue my bachelor’s degree, and my goal this year is to build as much momentum as possible. I plan to earn Security+, Network+, ITIL 4, Linux Essentials, Project+, Data+, CySA+, and PenTest+, while also completing general education courses through Study.com all before starting WGU.

I am saving Network+ for later since I expect it to come more naturally with my current role, but for now I am focused on finishing strong with Security+.

Any last-minute advice before the exam would be appreciated.
