First Pressure Wash of Wood Deck
Probably gonna get absolutely roasted for just trying to learn here, but here goes.
So last year in June we had our wood deck installed and my deck guy said wait 6-12 months before you do your first seal, to allow it to weather to the elements. So I’m doing my pressure wash of the season and I’m just wondering - is this what’s to be expected?? It admittedly looks a lot cleaner than the boards next to it and I can see the dirt coming off, but it’s honestly taking me forever which has me also wondering if I need a stronger pressure washer.
I only have a lighter duty guy right now - 2100 PSI 1.2gpm. I have to actually be within 2” of the wood to actually get (what I believe to be) the grime off. I am finding differing opinions of proper pressure washer load, and this deck is 780 square feet, so at this rate, this is gonna take me like a week 😂
Appreciate the help.
