So I got Marazhai on my side in the arena, intending to just use him as a meat shield in the fight and just betray him after. Because of the whole "killing a bunch of my subjects" thing. When the fight was winding down, I shot him twice and downed him.
Then he got back up and started talking in the cutscene like nothing happened. No big deal, game'll probably give me a prompt to kill him in dialogue later. He runs off to the Pit and says to meet him there. On my way there, half my party leaves and the RT gets a bad feeling.
I show up at the Pit and Argenta and Ulfar are holding Marazhai at gunpoint. None of my other companions object. I hit the option that's like [Draw your weapon] "Die Xenos scum" and the game hits me with 'Before you draw your weapon, Marazhai moves lightning fast' and I see his model move. Cutscene ends, and he/his corpse are nowhere to be found.
...Ok... so maybe I'll run into him later on in the act. I make it through to the end, and Marazhai never shows up again.
I guess my question is, is this intentional? Has it always been that way? It felt a little "OC Donut Steel" that I was just unable to kill the edgelord dark elf, given that the game has given me like six different prompts to kill every other companion. I kind of just have to headcanon that he died when I opened the Superhell portal.
