Well, the convention energy definitely followed us home. 😂

Our first proper Series 5 run on the Poor Man’s Stream is officially in the books, and the night delivered!

We cracked Series 5, GameStop exclusives, convention packs, VaultMint, Holiday 2023, and a few other surprises along the way. We hit some great Series 5 cards, pulled the Sol 1/3 out of the convention packs, and somehow managed to hit a REAL SILVER COIN out of VaultMint. 👀🔥

On top of the pulls, we sent a pile of cards, convention promos, exclusives, and other goodies right back out through the giveaways.

I also have to give a special shoutout to u/TexasWolf1977, one of the newer fanatics who has already gone full degen not only into the cards, but into the community and the whole vibe around it. He sent something my way that is going to make the next Mail Time absolutely CRAZY, and I cannot wait for you guys to see it. 👀

I got to meet so many awesome people from the community in person, finally put faces to names, and spend time around other collectors!

I also got to watch u/eighthourblink personally pull AND reveal the 0.1 BTC redemption, which made an already incredible weekend even more unreal.

On top of that, I had the chance to meet some of the head honchos at Cardsmiths, connect with the owner of VaultMint, see some incredible collections, and have conversations that could lead to some really exciting things down the road.

The convention had everything. Awesome people, incredible moments, and a whole lot of collectors pretending the next pack was definitely the last one. Now we are bringing that same energy home to the Poor Man’s Stream!

August 8 at 6 PM EST, we will be opening exclusive convention packs while cracking into a mixed Series 5 lineup that includes the GameStop exclusives and much more!

We will also have giveaways throughout the stream, adding a few more chances for somebody to leave happy even if Series 5 decides to make us work for it.

Mission Control can officially close the log on our first full Space expedition, and what a voyage it became.

Before leaving orbit, we opened the cargo bay for Mail Time. u/ThePampersandA delivered an incredible custom puzzle package, u/YoDooley filled the supply crates with prize envelopes and surprises, and u/HorseNo5308 sent lithos worthy of the ship’s vault.

Once the cargo was secured, we activated a sealed VaultMint Series 0, Mint 1 inner. Huge thank you to u/hotr42, VaultMint, and everyone who supported the channel through the affiliate link and codes. That support helped fuel the expedition and led us to a Short Forge, a Foundation print, and the Copper inner case hit.

The Copper was claimed by u/eighthourblink, who tried to send it back into orbit for another giveaway before the crew convinced him to keep his treasure. u/-Squidster- also secured a sealed VaultMint Collector Box for a future mission of his own.

Before entering deep Space, we recovered a Bitcoin Omega 75/75 from a Holiday 2025 Winter pack and Howard Carter 85/99 from a Summer 2025 pack.

Then the coordinates were locked, the engines were engaged, and the main mission began.

The Space collection delivered Venus 68/75, incredible artwork, and plenty for the crew to explore. But the greatest discovery remained hidden until the final pack of the entire night!

Then it happened…

One final pack. One final discovery. Last pack magic among the stars!!

My first live back in a while wouldn't have been a true Poor Man's Stream without a few technical difficulties to kick things off. Thankfully, we got over that hump (for the most part) and kept things rolling.

To everyone who stuck around until the end... thank you. I know the stream didn't get off to the smoothest start, but you all hung in there anyway. Seeing familiar names in chat, celebrating the big moments together, and simply spending your evening with us is a huge part of what keeps me excited to hit that Go Live button. Every view, like, comment, and share helps this little channel continue to grow, and I appreciate every one of you.

So... let's finally give this stream the recap it deserves.

Revealing the MR7 Beryl and officially completing my Series 1 Beryl Set is a moment I'll never forget. It's been a long chase, and getting to share it live with all of you made it even more special.

...And yes, I absolutely took my time staring at it. If anyone didn't like it, they'll survive. 😂

Series 4 definitely showed us some love with a beautiful Opal, and later on the Summer packs weren't about to be left out either. The "Sell in May and Go Away" Ruby /25 made sure of that.

One of the biggest surprises of the night came thanks to u/YoDooley and the Cardlosophy redemption program.

I picked up some product, got a great deal, was even surprised with a sealed inner, and that gave me a shot at the redemption. That redemption? A full Series 5 Master Case. Definitely wasn't on my bingo card. 😂

Huge shoutout to u/tubbybuzz.

He won the Henry Ford Garnet, but because shipping it to Canada just wasn't worth it, he asked me to throw it right back into the community so someone else could enjoy it.

Poor Henry Ford... 😂

Seeing u/HorseNo5308 take home the VaultMint Collector Box genuinely made me smile.

Between the awesome lithographs he creates, donating extra prizes back into the stream, and then ending up winning one himself... that's one of those full-circle moments that remind me why I love this hobby.

Winning the Reddit community giveaway was already an awesome way to start the night. Then later walking away with another prize during the live made for one heck of a stream.

Those are the kinds of moments I love seeing. The people who jump into these posts, hang out during the streams, and become part of the community are what make this hobby so much fun.

This Saturday, the Poor Man’s Stream returns!

We’re going live at 6 PM EST and cracking into some Currency Series 4.

Nothing crazy.

Just a place to hang out, enjoy some shiny cardboard, laugh at the bloopers, and hopefully watch the cardboard heavens bless us with a few bangers.

On the menu for the night: some warm-up rips, a little Summer☀️, a little Winter❄️, some Series 2, some Series 3, a few giveaways, “Mail Time”, some community-donated goodies, and more!

We’re also bringing a few upgrades to the stream!

The channel is officially moving up to 2K, so we can get a better look at those beautiful cards… or the scratches they come with fresh out the packs 🤣

The dark, the weight, that weird gravitational pull that keeps trying to drag you back in…

Depression sucks, and mental health is no joke.

I don’t want to make this long or sappy, but whether it’s life, cards, work, losses, or just getting absolutely rugged by the universe…

most of us go through it in one way or another…

Sometimes it feels like one giant black hole trying to swallow everything around it.

This video is a small representation of that fight between the dark and the light.

A reminder that just because the dark gets loud…

doesn’t mean the light is gone!

Sometimes it just has to fight its way back out.

Darkness isn’t an entity, darkness is just the absence of light. BE THE LIGHT!
