Getting back into writing so a wrote a short story while bored in an airport. “Kicks”

There is light implications of domestic violence so be cautious if that is a subject that is sensitive to you.

Behind my dark shades I watch the little girl stands on her seat looking at the planes land behind her. I can hear her loudly asking questions to her mother and father about how planes fly. The father surprisingly shoots up out of his seat, picks up the child and takes her to flight. As if it was rehearsed, she swings her little arms out, keeps them straight and her wings begin to take shape. She imagines soaring in the sky. The mother smiles and watches as the beautiful little plane that magically appeared in front of her flys from the roughest of skies to the calmest baby blues. I begin to tear up and look away as the mother catches a glimpse of me watching the miracle that she watched happen in front of her.
*I feel movement in my warm belly*

I wonder if I could have that, a warm embrace of a man. A child with two beaming lights that hold them up till the day they leave this earth.
Can I have that?
Do I deserve it?
Should I leave and go back to that shadow of a home and try to fix it again?
Yet the stinging bruise on my eye reminds me of my reality. A cruel life is given to cursed people. I believe I lived a good life before him but my later life says the contrary.
*A light kick is felt*

But you won’t be right?
Cursed?
I knew that if I stayed, you’d be buried along with me. Two lives in one body, lost at the hands of a coward, a man that denies you. But I don’t, you will know your worth and find someone that values you. That is why I need to leave, if I didn’t and even if you did survive then for how long is the question. That house was a hungry void waiting to be fed another soul. It stunk of alcohol and oil from that man’s clothes. A smell that still lingers on me. I believe no matter how much I scrub that it will always linger on me. I leave for the reason for you to never know that smell that lingers on me. That eats at me constantly.
*A stronger kick is received*

Another kick continued as I peer back up to the little plane finally landing. The tears rolling down my cheeks finally pass under my dark gloomy glasses. Tears landed upon my lips, the mother glances over as I lift up the glasses and try swiftly to wipe my tears away. She stares almost without embarrassment at us, her eyes join with mine although she probably couldn’t see them she knew she had my attention. As if she knew what I needed the most she gave it to me. She lightly nodded her head once with her beautiful brunette hair locked behind her ears and told me with her eyes that everything will be okay. My nerves of freeing and starting over with a lost guidance faded. She suddenly lifted herself up and set the family on to their next adventure. As she passed us she glanced over to you and gave you a small bright smile. Giving us our passage to a new life.

I give you a tap to say thank you and your kick in return says likewise.
