A new TV-to-Movie cut of the entire Star Wars: Resistance show.
I was completely overwhelmed by the interest and support for my last Resistance movie cut! A lot of you took the time to share really thoughtful feedback, both from longtime fans and people who were watching Resistance for the first time. I ended up going back in and rebuilding the whole film with everything I've learned!
Biggest critiques/requests:
- Make it longer!
- Get rid of the flashback structure
- More character development
The new Castilon Cut:
- 22 Minutes Longer (25 mins cut, 47 mins added)
- No flashbacks, everything plays out chronologically now, and it flows way better
- More time setting up characters, developing their story arcs while on Castilon
For those who never wanted to give Resistance a try, this movie will change your mind! The show's 2 seasons perfectly flow into a cohesive story with satisfying character arcs. With some strategic cuts, the plot and pacing is tight and engaging, the story is streamlined, the dogfights are punched up, and the characters can really shine. In the sequel era, this film can really excel as a palate cleanser, something fun, with no galaxy-ending stakes, no Jedi, and only tasteful cameos.
For Resistance fans, I hope I did the show justice!
