I just got back from a wonderful 2 week trip to Japan. I was able to avoid buying pens at Itoya (Tokyo) as nothing really grabbed my attention. However Kingdom Note (Tokyo) with its amazing selection of slightly used pens, Moritas (Osaka) with its odd collection and Bungubox (Tokyo) did me in.

After 21 years of Federal Service, I retired today expecting to quietly walk out the door. I was surprised by a retirement party paid for by my colleagues throughout the agency. I'm truly humbled by it. They gave me two Pilot Decimos (20th anniversary and Burgandy) and Coloverse Erebus Crater. Wow.
