1 month with DPDR: Does it get better?

I’ve been experiencing DPDR for a month now and this is horrible! I feel like I’m losing my mind every single day and the symptoms keep shifting and this is so overwhelming I don’t feel real anymore I don’t feel present my thoughts and dreams are more real than reality, I have this weird feeling where I feel like I’m going to fall out of my body or through the ground and it’s so overwhelming and scary along with being unable to be present. Now I also have a fear of having ALS at 19 years old because my hands and feet feel like weirdly tense and weak? if anyone could share their symptoms and if you had a similar experience to me please do! I feel so overwhelmed and hopeless! It has moments where it’s better and then it gets worse again!

3 Weeks Into DPDR and I’m Terrified I’m Losing My Mind

Week 3 of dealing with DPDR and my symptoms have shifted again, I feel like my depth perception is off and sometimes everything looks bigger or smaller, everything feels sort of unsteady like the earth could just start dropping or spinning at any moment or I could just fall through the ground, sometimes I’m worried that I have dementia because my memory is so bad and I feel so off, sometimes it’s hard to recall what day or month it is, I also overall just feel very disconnected from reality still I know it’s reality but I’m having a lot of scary existential thoughts and my mind just never stops racing and it feels like I’m living two lives kind of one in my head and one real one and the one in my mind is more present and I just start thinking about wild things and wild possibilities and scenarios and I’m just scared I’ll lose my mind or something. I got some medication and it’s helping slightly but still feel like I’m losing my mind or I’ll lose touch with reality permanently. Did anyone else experience all these symptoms?? Please let me know!

Anyone recover from severe DPDR and fear of psychosis?

Recently, my DPDR has shifted into a state of uncertainty and a sense of being an alien. if I’m playing a game or just in public and observing people’s interactions, it feels completely foreign to me. This has been a persistent issue for a while now.

Additionally, I’ve developed a new fear of losing my mind and experiencing hallucinations. I imagine the world crumbling, falling through the ground, or everything spinning and dropping. I also fear falling into an endless black void, free-falling forever. Just thinking about these scenarios makes me motion sick!

Furthermore, I have a constant feeling of being disconnected from the present moment and grounded. These experiences are non-stop and overwhelming, and it’s terrifying.

If you’ve experienced any of these symptoms and have recovered, I would greatly appreciate any recovery tips you could share.

Am I alone? Very scary existential dread!

I’ve had DPDR for about two weeks now and the symptoms keep shifting, my newest symptom is genuinely feeling like I’m in a simulation and the ground is gonna open up beneath me and swallow me and I’ll end up in a black void free falling forever or the world is gonna start spinning or falling and never stop. Did anyone else experience this and does it go away? Basically scared of having a psychotic episode and never coming back, it’s terrible at night but better during the day.
