campervan hire in australia

i'm currently looking at campstar, reviews look decent as compared to others. i like that they have a rating system for each brand.

has anyone booked from campstar before? if yes, how was your experience like? which vehicle did you get, and are they able to store a 24 inch luggage? hahaha

Hello! I’m planning a 15-night campervan trip driving from Brisbane up to Cairns in Nov/Dec and would love some recommendations from locals or anyone who’s done a similar route.

I’m especially looking for:
- Must-see spots (beaches, parks, scenic drives)
- Underrated towns or places worth an overnight stop
- Good food (cafes, bakeries, seafood, etc.)
- Wildlife experiences (especially anything unique to the area)
- Any great/low-cost campsites or caravan parks
- Trip tips (road conditions, considerations, things to avoid)

Also keen to know:
- How many nights you’d roughly spend between key stops
- Any place that’s overrated vs. not worth the detour
- Safety tips for tourists (if relevant)

- campervan companies with good ratings and a decent price

Cheers in advance
