Action too high pt 2

I made a post about this about 3 days ago it’s an sg that has been in a loft for a while, some have said it’s cos the necks bowed and others have said it’s cos the pickups are too high and to file the nuts down but idk this is my first guitar and it was my first time restringing.

Chords sound muted

I’ve just restrung my guitar it’s an epiphone SG, first time restringing and the chords sound muted. Am I just playing wrong or have I fucked up with the strings
