Whole Foods Produce Interview — They Said 48 Hours, Should I Be Worried?
Hey everyone! I interviewed for a Produce position on Thursday morning. The interviewer told me Thursday was the last day of interviews and asked me to give them 48 hours to make a decision, but I haven’t heard anything yet.
She asked me about handling stress, whether I was comfortable helping with floral and lifting heavy items, my availability, and my previous Whole Foods experience. I used to work there as a Prime Shopper and cashier. She also asked why I left, and I explained that it was part-time and I needed more hours to cover my bills. I told her I enjoyed working there and would love to grow with the company. She asked who my old manager was and what he would say about me, and I explained that I’m reliable, show up for work, and communicate well.
The interview ended on a friendly note, but she didn’t mention a start date or who would contact me.
For anyone who works at Whole Foods or has interviewed there recently:
Is it normal for them to take longer than 48 hours to respond?
Does the hiring manager usually make the final decision?
Should I call Monday to follow up, or wait longer?
Thanks! I’m trying not to overthink it lol.
